For individuals. Your employer need never hear about it.

Give a few hours. Change what someone thinks is possible.

You don't need to be sent by a company, and there's no minimum commitment. Answer a few messages a term, meet a student for a chat, or give one talk at a school. You decide how far it goes.

What it actually involves

Less than you are imagining

No script, no quota, nobody counting. Most mentors do considerably less than they braced themselves for, and it still works.

Being findable

Your profile goes up under your industry. Your email and phone number do not. They sit somewhere the website cannot read and we handle the introductions.

Twenty minutes in a classroom

Some mentors do this once a year. Entirely optional, and if you say yes we deal with the arranging.

Three years in is not too soon

If you are early on, students believe you in a way they do not quite believe the managing director. If you are fifteen years in, you have the wider view. Both are wanted and the first is harder to come by.

You can stop

Answer a couple of questions a term, or do more later if you feel like it. You can step back whenever and nobody will ring you about it.

Why this exists

[Your words go here — a sentence or two on why you started Social Capital. Edit this in the CMS; it's the one bit of the site that should sound like a person rather than an organisation.]
